A problem with your blog fest is that in April everyone in this corner of the blogging galaxy (including me) is going to be doing the "A to Z" blogfest thing.

I think you should do the A to Z with 26 Star Wars references. I mean there has to be something for every letter that relates to Star Wars. Here's a list off the top of my head:

A: A-wing, Ackbar, Anakin, etc.
B: B-wing, Bespin, etc.
C: Chewbacca, C-3PO, Coruscant, etc.
D: Droid, Death Star, Darth Vader, other Darths, etc.
E: Empire, Endor, etc.
F: Fett (Boba and Jango)
G: Grand Moff Tarkin, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Geonosis, etc.
H: Han Solo, Hoth, etc.
I: IG-88
J: Jar-Jar Binks, Jabba the Hutt, etc.
K: Kashyyk, Kessel, etc.
L: Leia, Lobot, etc.
M: Millennium Falcon, Mace Windu, Mon Mothma, etc.
N: Naboo
O: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Organa, etc.
P: Princess Leia, Padme, Palpatine, etc.
Q: Qui-Gon Jinn
R: R-2D2, Red Five, etc.
S: Smuggler, Starfighter, Sullust, etc.
T: Trade Federation
U: Ugnaughts (I think that's what the pig people on Bespin are called)
V: Vader
W: Wedge Antilles
X: X-Wing
Y: Yoda, Yavin, etc.
Z: Z95 Headhunter, I'm sure there's something better

I'm sure Andrew can think of lots of other stuff to add to this.

I thought about doing a Star Wars theme, but I decided it would need a more fine-tuned theme structure, and I couldn't decide on anything I's want to use. But, yeah, there's plenty of stuff out there.

If all goes according to plan, I'll have my post up on Friday, and I'll plug the new stuff then since I forgot to do it today.

I have no idea what the "A-to-Z" blogging thing is, and probably won't find out.

At this point, I am sticking with this Star Wars Blogathon like Sisyphus stuck with his rock, or maybe like Prometheus stuck with his determination that giving us fire was a good idea.

Because you don't build a tradition in just one year. This is for the ages, boys. This one is for the ages. Two decades from now, when this is a legitimate thing and is as big as the NCAA and Mel Kiper Jr has an ESPN special about the Blogathon, we will be able to look back at its humble beginnings and say "Man, Pagel was kind of a jerk about that A-to-Z thing, wasn't he?"

That's how legends are born.

Grumpy Bulldog called me over to see what this Blogfest is all about, and it looks fun! I'm not doing the A-Z challenge either, although I had planned to. I have too much going on in April, so I'll give your Star Wars blogfest a go! I won't do well with the questions, though. I'm pretty basic in my trivia, but I love Star Wars. I'll come back when I have something written. Thanks, Grumpy Bulldog, for the invite!

I've done it!!! (ahem) rules might be a bit unstuck...but I did my best. I think it's a great idea :-) http://www.susanroebuck.com/2012/03/star-wars-blogathon-challenge-and.html

I did it too, though I must admit my observance of the rules is somewhat lacking.

I'll pass the parcel on.
