Dogs probably aren't crazy about spaghetti, now that I think of it.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of homemadedogfood.com for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

A couple years back, you may remember, there was a huge kerfuffle about poisoned dog and cat food – everyone was up in arms because pet food companies were putting, essentially, trash into dog and cat food and it was causing all kinds of problems.

Remember that?

Maybe?

I thought not.  There were class-action lawsuits and individual lawsuits (I even sued over our then-cat Stormy, who had suffered kidney problems from the food) and lots of promises made and then…

…whatever happened to it all?

Can you be sure now that the food you’re buying in bulk from Giant Anonymous Corporation Inc. (an affiliate of Global Anonymous Giant Corporations Affiliated Inc.) is safe? And pure? And actually good for your dog?  You can’t even guarantee that about your food – or haven’t you heard of pink sludge?

(Which I happen to love but that’s besides the point.)

The point is, you take good care of your pets, or you want to, and one way to do that is to make sure that you feed them healthy food that’s good for them.  And the best way to do that is to make the pet food yourself and give them Homemade dog food.

I know: You’re thinking  “I wouldn’t know where to begin to cook for my dog.  Does he like spaghetti? What wine goes with Alpo?”  That’s okay; it’s good to have questions because Homemade Dog Food has answers.

Over at Homemade Dog Food, you’ll find ways to feed your dog healthy, nutritious homemade food that won’t take a million years or cost a million dollars but will make your dog feel like a million bucks. (See what I did there?)  I’m clever, I am.

The site features easy to follow Easy cooked dog food recipe and videos showing you how to combine fresh ingredients in ways that will help your dog better digest the food, so your dog will be healthier and happier and possibly smarter, too, which would be good because, let’s face it, your dog isn’t exactly in line for the dog equivalent of the Nobel Prize. (I’m trying my hardest to think of a dog-related pun for that prize.  I’ll let you know when I get to it.)

I don’t own a dog.  I only own kids. But I have owned dogs and I wouldn’t have hesitated to give them fresh foods made by hand.

As for that Nobel Prize pun?  I've got nothing.

I have to say that there's an even easier way... feed your dog what they were meant to eat: raw meat. Dogs are, essentially, wolves, and -they- eat raw meat. Dogs aren't meant to eat grains and all the other crap that dog food companies want to feed them. Dogs, also, don't need anything cooked.

The best dog food you can get is Holistic Select. That's the official dog food of my former avatar Butler Blue II and his protege Butler Blue III.

I wish I had a pithy contribution to this conversation but all this talk, talk, talk has made me thirsty enough to drink out of the toilet!
