28 Days of Christmas, 28 of the Best Christmas Songs, 6:

I stumbled across this song this morning while looking for another song entirely. I've never heard it before, but the combination of the upbeat, happy melody, the fact that it manages to be religious in a new and fun kind of way -- I'm actually a religious guy, although I don't beat people over the head with it -- and it sort of reminds me of The Safety Dance won me over. It's Born Is The King (It's Christmas) by Hillsong. No idea who they are, but give it a listen even if you're not a religious person. I think you'll like it.

Prior songs:

5: Tijuana Christmas by The Border Brass

4. Christmas Griping, REM

3. A Christmas Waltz, She & Him

2. Don't Shoot Me, Santa, The Killers

1. Snoopy's Christmas, The Royal Guardsmen.

Decent song. I think Hillsong is actually Hillsong United. Or maybe that's a different band.
I think they're based out of some church, but I don't remember which.

I did like the song, but it doesn't speak well for the environment. I'd hate to be the one picking up all that trash and removing it from this otherwise pristine area. Maybe that stuff was all bio-degradable?
