You can enter if you want but I'm pretty much gonna win it, so...

Andrew Leon, author of the great books The House On The Corner and Shadow Spinner (among other great things he's written) is having a short story contest, and he promises that the winner will get the best chocolate in the world, and you know what that means.

Right: He got access to Willy Wonka's factory.  How he did that is for another post.  What you need to know is that you can enter your short story in his contest to win that chocolate.  The details are right here in the post this link will lead you to but don't click it yet because then you won't be able to read the rest of this post.  Just note this link and read on and then come back and click it.

The contest is: "Write a 7500 word or less short story based on 'The Imagination Room' featured in Leon's books The House On The Corner and suggested/mentioned in Christmas On The Corner".  The deadline is February 6.  I'm going to enter it, but don't let that stop you.  I mean, just because The Flash entered a foot race or Superman entered a weightlifting contest, or Green Lantern entered a ... um... light-ring-wielding-thing... wouldn't stop you from entering, would it? Just think of me as The Flash crossed with Superman crossed with Green Lantern, only more handsome.

I got a little off subject there.Want more info? Go read the entire post at Andrew's blog.  And if you're too lazy to go back up and click that link, well, you probably don't deserve to win.

Well if you've already got it locked up then I won't worry about it.

Yeah, I guess I won't enter. You've already won.

Oh, wait, I'm beginning to see your sinister plan, Briane! You're posting about the contest to intimidate people and get them not to participate! :P
