I'm going to go get my spot for the parade! (Star Wars References)

There'll be a parade, right? There has to be, because it's Star Wars Day!

Or, more accurately, "Thtar Warth Day." Today being May Fourth, a day Star Wars fans have dubbed "Star Wars Day," because... do I have to spell it out for you? Okay:

May the Fourth Be With You.

Wow! Funny!

The day actually comes -- according to ABC News, which figured it could spare some manpower to report on this critical issue -- from a mistranslation of a George Lucas interview by a German TV channel, making this just the latest in a long list of achievements of Western Civilization which owe their birth solely to German mistranslations, a list that includes "toast," and "James Van Der Beek."

As legend (?) has it, George Lucas was interviewed by, probably, some Germans on German TV, and said "May the Force be with you," but those wacky (?) Germans mistranslated it as "We are with you on May 4th," and "Star Wars Day" was born.

But don't for a second think that a single day could serve as a celebration of the only thing our culture bothers to worry about anymore: There are actually two Star Wars Days: The other is May 25, commemorating the day the movie was originally released to begin filtering into our bloodstreams like... like... what's the word I'm searching for, here? I'm sure it'll come to me.

Like Star Wars References? It doesn't matter if you do, because that's all you get anymore. Click here to find more of them.

You mean a parasite? Which apparently is all "The Force" is according to the prequels. Metachlorians or whatever they're called. Which makes you wonder if anyone could ever find a way to synthetically create those if everyone could have the Force then. That would be sweet.

I wonder if anyone's done a YouTube video yet where they take the end of Return of the Jedi after the Emperor dies and all these planets are celebrating and spliced in some bin Laden stuff into it? I think that needs to happen.
