Looks like I'm going to have to take a road trip this weekend.
I have to take a road trip because I need to get to a Mac's Convenience store. Only Mac's Convenience stores offer the chance to get a FREE Coca-Cola Collectible Medallion just by purchasing two 591ml Coca-Cola products, and Mac's Convenience stores are only located in Canada, according to the store-finder website.
These Coca-Cola Medallions -- commemorating the upcoming Olympics in Canada, and collectible, and very cool, are something I want very badly. So imagine my surprise when I typed in my ZIP Code on the site and found that the nearest Mac's was in Thunder Bay, Ontario, which I am about 77% certain is in Canada.
Here I'd thought that I could just cruise on over to a Mac's and pick up a couple of Coke Zero bottles -- I already drink about fifteen a day, so getting a few more en route to getting a collectible medallion (or all three) wouldn't be a hardship on me at all. But the drive is a little longer than I'd thought it would be.
It's not like I can go anywhere else to get them. Only Mac's has the Collectible Coke Medallions, so I've got to get myself to a Mac's or I'll never get them. And, while I love drinking Coke Zero, it's not going to taste as good to me know if I know that I could be drinking it while also holding up my Olympic Commemorative Medallion.
So, Thunder Bay, here I come. And I'm going to hurry, because they said it's for a limited time only and while supplies last, and I'm not driving all the way to Canada, which might be a different country for all I know, only to have them be out of the collector's item.
I just hope they have some beef jerky when I get there, too.
