That's actually two bands: Wook is a jam band whose shows are described as a "must-attend party." But Urban Dictionary has a different concept of what a "wook" is:
A wook is a hippie without any ambition, motivation, or drive other than drugs and image. They're generally in their twenties, college students (or dropouts) at small-town liberal colleges (such as Appalachian State University) and dependent on an income other than their own.I haven't listened to any Wook songs, because my tolerance for jam bands is limited to enjoying Phish's Bouncing 'Round The Room. But it's obvious what the inspiration for the word was, isn't it?
Wooks tend to travel in packs, they smell strongly of patchouli and are in constant search for free drugs. One of the defining characteristics is an excessive amount of unkempt hair, usually in dreadlocks.
It is important to make the distinction between a hippie and a wook. Hippies can generally be viewed as positive, optimistic members of society with an idealistic goal for the betterment of society. Wooks are everything that you've been warned about in regard to hippies wrapped into a neat little package.
The use of the word wook to describe the lower class of hippies -- who'd have guessed hippie culture was so rigidly stratified -- made me wonder if other classes of people are described by Star Wars lingo. And they are: It turns out that jawa is used a derogatory term for people living in the Mideast, and the meaning of Lando is hotly debated: Urban Dictionary has it both ways: Lando can be a traitorous person, but others say Lando is:
The old cool & new rad:
Wonderwhale's pretty lando.
That is great. I am going to describe every good thing that happens to me today as pretty lando. At least until someone punches me. Which would be so not lando.

Can you change your "Reactions" so that it says "Lando"? That would be totally lando.
