She couldn't handle the thought of potential rejection. So, yeah, everyone always talks about her as if she was just writing for herself, but she wasn't; she was just scared to attempt further publication. I would totally buy a CD of John Hannah reading "The World's Most Loved Classic Poetry" or some such thing. Especially if it included "The Charge of the Light Brigade."
