I'm having a good day, but I know how the elf feels. Poem 35 (365 Poems)

Bad Day

Hot Actress: Hillary Duff.
Kay Ryan

Not every day
is a good day
for the elfin tailor.
Some days
the stolen cloth
reveals what it
was made for:
a handsome weskit
or the jerkin
of an elfin sailor.
Other days
the tailor
sees a jacket
in his mind
and sets about
to find the fabric.
But some days
neither the idea
nor the material
presents itself;
and these are
the hard days
for the tailor elf.

The Scariest Things, You CAN'T Imagine: short horror stories that will leave you lying awake at night wishing you'd stuck with something lighter.  Try "The Grave-Robbers," in which New Sam learns that there have been a lot of prior Sams born to Mom and Dad.  And they're all down in the catacombs...

Does Hilary Duff still do anything? She never had a Lohan or Britney Spears-style meltdown so I have no idea what she's doing these days.

She's a mom now. She mostly gets noted for being a mom and still being hot. At least on the blogs I read.

I didn't care for that one.

Just so you know that I'm not ignoring your thing, I already helped out with that back when it first happened. Farland was in the writers' group I got booted from on FB, so he had stuff up about it right after it happened.

I didn't think you were ignoring it.

What didn't you like about this poem? I found it interesting.

It's one of those that if you wrote it out as a paragraph there would be no way to tell it's a poem. It's just some sentences written as if they are poetry, and I think it actually would work better as a short paragraph.

I remember when Hilary Duff dated Aaron Carter. I was jealous of her back then.
